Who we are

Since 1962, the Chesapeake Bay Division of the International Association for Identification (CBD-IAI) has served as a professional organization dedicated to advancing the forensic and law enforcement sciences throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Our members represent a diverse community of professionals from local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private industry and academic institutions. Through education, training, professional networking, and the exchange of knowledge, CBD-IAI fosters excellence in forensic science and supports the highest standards of scientific integrity and public service.

CBD-IAI is committed to promoting professional development through conferences, seminars, and collaborative partnerships that strengthen the forensic community. Whether you are an experienced practitioner, a student beginning your career, or an organization seeking to connect with forensic professionals, CBD-IAI provides valuable resources and opportunities to learn and grow.

For more than six decades, our association has remained dedicated to preserving our rich history while preparing the next generation of forensic professionals for the challenges of tomorrow.
