Memorial for Past President - Robert L. Johnson

In Loving Memory
Robert L. Johnson
1934  -   1988

Fall 1988

On April 11, 1988 the good Lord took from us Robert L. Johnson. Bob was hospitalized on March 18, 1988 after suffering a ruptured aneurysm.

Bob was currently President of our Chesapeake Bay Division, as well as, 2nd. Vice-President of the International. Of course, as many in our Division know, Bob was a great leader and supporter not only for IAI but for everything he endeavored.

Bob began his career with the FBI as a fingerprint clerk in 1952. He left the FBI in 1968 and joined the United States Secret Service. He began there as a fingerprint examiner and progressed until he was the Chief of the Identification and Research Branch. He only had a short time to work before retiring, when this illness overcame him.

Bob is survived by his wife, Frances, a daughter, one brother and two sisters, and three grandchildren. Frances will be residing in their home in Front Royal.

To Frances and family our sincere condolences.
